I never had the priveledge of going to a Worlds Fair, but I've been to a number of state fairs, including California, Illinois, Kentucky, Colorado, Washington, and numerous times to the Oregon State Fair to show horses.. The fair was usually my favorite horse show of the year. Pictured above is Mt. View Grande, which was his Morgan Horse registered name. At the Sate Fair I showed him under his alias UFO.
When I was driving Oakland Yellow cab in 1968 I made several visits to Treasure Island to deliver drunk sailors back to base. I then picked up a sober sailor to deliver to the bars in Oakland. I too didn't know until now that Treasure Island was man made. I can't imagine how I missed the trivia fact. Ron
