When we were visiting LaDonna, Wade, Nancy and Emily came up from Maryland to visit with us while we were there. This was the first time that I had met Wade’s family.
Emily had brought a girlfriend with her. The afternoon that they arrived, LaDonna took Ginger, Monique, Emily and her friend out shopping. The men all went somewhere and that left Mom, Nancy and I alone to visit. We talked about many things.
Nancy asked about Monique and I told her that Monique had gotten a degree in band instrument repair. Nancy said that she had just recently learned about that profession. Nancy is very involved in Emily’s school. The school had hired a band teacher with a band instrument repair degree. Nancy started asking me more questions about the instrument repair college that Monique had graduated from.
The more we talked about the instrument repair school and the music teacher at Emily’s school, the more we could see a connection between the teacher at Emily’s school and Monique.
Monique had a best friend at the repair college. They would always play flute duets during lunch together. We all got to meet her when she joined us for Monique’s graduation dinner.
While talking to Nancy, I remembered that Monique’s best friend was a band teacher from Maryland. We found out that she was the same person. Nancy took pictures of Monique and Emily together so that she could take them back to Maryland and show the music teacher. The repair college was in Red Wing, Minnesota.
It really is a small world, a best friend in Minnesota, a music teacher in Maryland, meeting and visiting with my cousin’s wife in Pennsylvania. It was an exciting and fun discovery for all of us. The picture above is of Monique and the Maryland music teacher.
