Cat Food

One summer I went fishing in the Estuary. The Estuary was the body of water that separated Alameda and Oakland.
At that time, the sewer came out into the Estuary, contaminating the water.

I caught a lot of fish that day. Of course, they were not fish that we could eat.
I decided to give the fish to the old lady next door. She had a lot of cats.
When I gave all the fish to her, I told her she could feed them to her cats.
The next day she said, “Those fish sure tasted good.”

I didn’t mean for her to eat them. I was relieved that she didn’t get sick.
I never gave her any more of my fish.
