Delivery system
Many foods such as french fries are merely delivery systems for ketchup in my opinion. I use ketchup as a substitute for steak sauce, barbecue sauce in recipes such as the one for beans and Spam. All it takes is a little garlic powder, onion salt, a drop of molasses, and a splash of wine vinegar. Ketchup mixed with creamy horseradish sauce makes a dynamite dipping sauce for the previously mentioned french fries. Again, one is only limited by one's imagination. And I'm not going to waste my sugar allotment ( type 2 diabetic) on Ovaltine. A slice of apple pie or carrot (prune) cake makes more sense. Ron
