Okie Immunization

Wanda R. Truscott was a practitioner of 'Okie immunization,' which meant that when she heard that a neighborhood child caught something like the measles, she exposed us to it to get that malady out of the way. As a result I'm sure we all had every childhood disease and much of those at the same time. Some times I think modern mothers keep their little darlings in too austere an environment. Throw some food on the floor for the little beggars. Let them eat dirt and drink creek water. I know from experience with water treatment that people who live on well water containing bacteria have much better immune systems. Ron
