Mean While, Back at the Chicken Farm

Our family has been working all day today on the outside chicken pen. We have been working on it for more than a week now and today we finally got it finished.
Our chickens seem to love their new play area.
Richard did a great job of designing it. He did most of the work. The rest of us were his helpers.

The pen should be a safe place for the chickens to roam freely without us having to be nearby to chase all the predators away that are looking for a tasty meal.

Last night when Richard was working on the inside of the pen, one of our chickens snuck up on him and grabbed a mosquito off of his leg. Ginger and I laughed in surprise. Richard didn’t even know the chicken had done that, but he was thankful she did.

As you can see, our chickens are growing up.
